Katy Mijal
Recruitment and Retention Specialist at UW-Madison
My role in this project is to support participants and the prevention staff at Vivent Health. I am in contact with participants throughout their involvement in the research, which is typically 8 times over 6 months. I call/text/email/snail-mail/FB message – to send reminders when it is time for research activity. I am quite flexible on communication preferences, but still have quite a bit to learn about homing pigeons. This research project could influence new funding and programming for much-needed services. It is important to the success of the project that participants do their best to complete the study activities, and that is where I can help. In addition to being the living calendar, I am available to answer questions about research and listen to any concerns. I hope that everyone takes pride in knowing that we can improve support for people in the future.
